There are literally hundreds and thousands of bids put out each and every week by schools, city, state and federal governments including the US military. Why not take advantage of that?

The United States government is the largest consumer in the world. They are always in need of a product you carry and sometimes needs a lot of them. From headphones, microphones, band instruments, turnkey studios, even top secret video conference rooms.

90% of all purchases made by the U.S. Government are less than $25,000 and the they are mandated to sell to small business! Large companies are actually forbidden from bidding on most bids so you’ve already got a leg up!
Most schools have music programs and many are willing to invest in their programs. Some of these purchases are made directly with existing vendors but the more money a deal is, the more likely it will have to go out to bid. These are not always easy to find or even advertised so be willing to invest in the time to find them.
Is working on bids for you and your company? Perhaps the margin is lower than a non shopped deal, this is certainly the case but earning any sizable award at any margin is better than nothing isn’t it? If you can build a relationship with the purchaser maybe next time a no bid sale will go to you because you proved yourself the first time around! Also, hitting manufacturers goals can earn DFI’s, rebates or even an extra column off as they want to sell too!

Simply registering as an authorized seller to the government can open the door to many opportunities that you may not have heard about.
